James Ryan is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Seton Hall University School of Law. He is admitted to the New Jersey and New York Bars.
Jimmy has represented our tax appeal clients at County Tax Boards, the New Jersey Tax Court, and New York State Supreme Court. His litigation work includes drafting discovery responses, preparing property owners and expert appraisal witnesses to testify and, cross-examination of tax assessors and appraisal witnesses. There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into making for effective appearances before tax boards and tax courts. Jimmy’s efforts include legal research, property inspection, assessment negotiations, and appraisal review. Because our tax appeal practice has a national scope, Jimmy has appeared in various parts of the country, including negotiating successful tax assessment reductions in Kansas, and appearing before tax appeal boards of review in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
